Mr. DAO DANH PHUOC heads the Patent & Design Department of IPHOUSE & ASSOCIATES. He is a patent attorney with has more than 10-year experience in IP practice. Education: Mr. Dao Danh Phuoc graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the Department of Chemical technology, in 2001, from its Master course in July of 2004, and Hanoi Law University in July 2010. Special Field: Mr. Dao Danh Phuoc has hands-on experience of a former examiner and supervisor with solid technical background in chemistry, including pharmaceutical chemistry, medicine, biomedicine, traditional medicine, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, petrochemistry, chemistry of dyes, metallurgy, environmental chemistry, catalysis and chemical process technologies. Experience: Mr. Dao Danh Phuoc, used to work as an patent examiner and supervisor, participated in many training courses and workshops provided by, say, WIPO, EPO, USPTO, JPO, APO, CNIPO, KIPO and thereby obtained a wealth of of relevant experience and knowledge in preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of chemistry, including pharmaceutical chemistry, medicine, biomedicine, traditional medicine, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, petrochemistry, chemistry of dyes, metallurgy, environmental chemistry, catalysis and chemical process technologies. Furthermore, he specializes in drafting patent specification and conducting prior art search. He has also engaged in litigation, provided expert legal advice on specific matters in connection with, say, the patentability of purpose-limited product claims and Swiss-type claims, priority right, refusal/cancellation, opposition/appeal, new application procedures/estimate costs, renewal procedures/estimated costs and other related matters.
